Border Measures Updates

Japan is finally moving forward towards reopening the border for foreign travelers.

As of June 1, 2022, Japan raised the cap for foreign arrivals from 10,000 to 20,000 per day as well as implementing people from Covid-19 testing upon arrival. There has also been changes made to rules regarding mandatory quarantine based on three different categories.

Although there are still restrictions on visa exemptions, which require most arrivals to obtain a VISA prior to entering Japan, traveling to Japan is becoming easier day by day.

The Japanese government has announced that Japan will start accepting foreign group tourists from June 10, 2022.

The entry restrictions and quarantine rules are subject to change at any time. For the most up-to-date information please check the official website of the Japanese government before traveling.
